Hosting Solution

Initially Monkey Tree Hosting operated solely using USA based dedicated servers but David soon realised that in order to offer the speed and latency demanded by their customers they needed a solution much closer to where the majority of their users were based.  Monkey Tree Hosting were looking for a local rack space provider that offered a secure environment for their servers whilst providing them with 100% network uptime and reliable service support.

David says “I’d heard a lot of good things about UK Servers, their customer service, reliability and depth of technical knowledge is second to none, our rack space and IP transit services were setup and running within just 12 hours and nothing has been too much trouble for them.”

Monkey Trees dedicated lockable rack provides a secure dedicated environment from which they operate their own hardware and networking equipment giving them full control over the systems and configuration.  As the hosting side of Monkey Trees business grows, UK Servers are able to easily deploy additional server racks with private interconnects between these, at the demand of the client.

David explains: “Due to the nature of the solutions our customers are asking for, we need as much control over the systems we operate as possible.  By choosing to have dedicated lockable rack space services with UK Servers we have this, if our customers require complex multi-server solutions our own rack space provides us with the flexibility to deploy these as we see fit and to our customers’ exact needs”.

IP Transit

One of the most important things for Monkey Tree Hosting was the reliability offered by the UK Servers network through its high speed, high capacity UK fibre network.

David says “The speed and reliability offered by the UK Servers network is very important to us, in today’s market our customers do not accept any downtime.  Our initial worries of choosing to host our servers on a network outside of London have been unwarranted given how reliable the network in UK Servers Coventry datacentre has been for us”.

Nick Harper, of UK Servers says “We know how important network availability is to our customers which is why we have invested heavily in our core routing infrastructure and networking equipment. Our highly redundant Juniper routed network and dedicated network operations team ensure that David can put his servers online and leave them knowing that our high speed network will deliver content quickly and reliably to his customers at all times”.

The Future

Having experienced massive exponential growth in the past twelve months since hosting with UK Servers, Monkey Tree Hosting is set to thrive over the coming months with plans to take rack space services at other UK Servers sites around the UK.

David Curtis says “We are currently in talks with a number of large web design companies in the UK who are looking to migrate the hosting of their clients to our services. The equation is simple really, the more customers we host the more servers we will need and the more rack space we will require from the supportive team at UK Servers”.
