Coventry Datacentre Expansion with A+B Power Feeds
Expansion of Coventry Datacentre with A&B Power
UK Servers has today completed expansion of it’s Coventry datacentre with A & B power feeds. Previously power was provided to our racks through a single power drop from a central N+1 UPS system with backup diesel generator power. Electrical contractors have been working on site over the last few weeks to deploy additional power feeds to each rack enabling us to provide customers with true A & B power to their servers. Since opening in 2011 our Coventry datacentre has achieved 100% power uptime.
Over the coming weeks UK Servers will be contacting all customers with servers with dual redundant power supplies to arrange a maintenance window with them to switch over the second power supply to the “B” feed. This maintenance will be service unaffecting but will mean that those customers with dual redundant power supplies in their servers ensure that they are fed from different power sources/systems.
